Robin Clarke - Perl and Life

or - a lot of worthless crap is worth more than you might imagine!

We had our big going away party this weekend - it was a huge success:

• Everyone had a lot of fun
• Nearly all our nearest friends were there
• The booze held out to the end (10 crates of beer)
• People brought lots of really tasty food!  My favourite: the Thai glass noodle minced meat salad with lots of coriander.  The most bizar: a cake shaped like a penis…
• And - I got rid of most of my junk (actually I threw away the real junk before - the auction was all “good” junk.

Even though lot of stuff went for way less than it’s worth, or what I would have got on eBay (in particular a subwoofer speaker that went to Lukas for 30EUR - I really shouldn’t have sold that, at least not till I moved out (Lukas lives below me)!!).  But in the end all those 2 and 3 EUR items added up: Grand total from the Auction: 550EUR!  Yes - I am a cronic junk-collector… but this was a good purge - I feel better and lighter now… really!
